Cumberland, RI
A Community Overview

Cumberland offers the best of both worlds—a peaceful, suburban lifestyle with all the conveniences of nearby cities like Providence and Boston. It’s the kind of place where I’ve seen families grow, kids thrive in top-rated schools, and neighbors become lifelong friends. I love being part of this community, and I’m excited to help others find their place here too.

Life in Cumberland: Where Community Thrives

Schools That Families Love

One of the things that makes Cumberland special is the school system. I’ve seen firsthand how kids flourish in schools like Cumberland High School, which offers strong academics and extracurricular programs. Parents love knowing their kids are getting a quality education, and for those looking at private or charter options, there are plenty of choices just a short drive away. Plus, with Bryant University and Providence College nearby, it’s the perfect place for families focused on education.

Local Farms and Fresh Produce

Living here, you quickly get a feel for Cumberland’s connection to nature. I can’t count the number of times I’ve enjoyed a morning at Phantom Farms, whether it’s apple picking in the fall or grabbing a cup of coffee and one of their famous cider donuts. Jaswell’s Farm is another spot I frequent, especially when I want to pick up fresh produce or take part in seasonal events like hayrides. These farms are more than just places to shop—they’re where the community comes together.

A Thriving Housing Market

The housing market here has been strong and steady, making it a great time to buy. Whether you’re looking for a classic New England-style home or something more modern, Cumberland’s got a little bit of everything. I’ve worked with buyers across all price points, from single-family homes that average around $400,000 to $450,000 to condos and townhomes that range between $250,000 and $300,000. It’s a fantastic place to invest in your future, especially with home values continuing to rise.

Outdoor Living and Recreation

If you love the outdoors like I do, Cumberland’s got you covered. Diamond Hill Park is one of my go-to spots, especially for hiking or sledding in the winter. For a more leisurely walk or a scenic bike ride, the Blackstone River Bikeway is perfect. There’s always something to do outdoors, and it’s one of the things that makes living here so enjoyable. The peace and quiet of Monastery Park is where I like to go to unwind after a busy week, and I’m always running into familiar faces.

Community Spirit

What I love most about Cumberland is the sense of community. It’s the kind of place where you bump into friends at the farmer’s market, or gather for local events like Music at the Monastery. I’ve found that people here really care about their neighbors, and that’s what makes this town feel like home. There’s something comforting about grabbing a coffee at Phantom Farms and chatting with someone you know—it’s those small moments that really make Cumberland special.

Why Cumberland?
